February 15: climax of ZIP Talks competition!

The three ZIP Talks nominees for an on stage presentation at TEDxMaastricht will give their live eight minute talk during the ZIP Café, February 15th, 2011 in Utrecht. The visitors of the ZIP Café will decide right then and there which ZIP Talk is the winner. On April 4, 2011 the winner will present his vision for healthcare innovation. He will do his talk on the main stage of TEDxMaastricht in front of a large European audience. So be there to vote for your favourite at ZIP Café, February 15th!

“Do you have an innovative or inspiring vision that will truly change healthcare? Do you want to inspire others to take action? Are you able to accomplish this in a one minute video? If you do, the Dutch Healthcare Innovation Platform (ZorgInnovatiePlatform or ZIP) invites you to participate in the ZIP Talks.” This was the message of the competition launched by ZIP in September 2010.

To win the much desired prize – stage time atTEDxMaastricht – some 37 people and organisations submitted their vision for healthcare innovation. At the end of November 2010 a special jury selected the 25 best ZIP-talks. On November 29th, 2010, during the special on site ZIP Café at Medicine 2.0 in Maastricht the visitors were asked to select the three nominees for the TEDxMaastricht stage.

The three nominees are: Remco Hoogendijk, Marjorie de Man en Frits van der Swan. Have a look at the video’s that won them their nomination!
