Marion Coster: The musical aptitude and the gift of empathy

For humans, music was probably born as natural instinct to reproduce the natural rhythms and sounds we are used to listen in nature.
So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that people dedicated to medicine and life science can release their creative energy in music, too. Music and medicine are different disciplines, but they have in common the request of great dedication.

Marion Coster is a practice nurse in General Practice “Het Meijhuis” in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. She takes care of patients who suffer from diabetes and COPD. She is also coaching people who wants to quit smoking. Giving energy and sharing strength with harmony.

All the positive power and creativity are in the song that we could enjoy with her on stage at TEDxMaastricht! Many Thanks, Marion for this moment!

Com-passion for Care!

Everything feels so bad/ When you lose, what you once had/ Here you are all on your own/ No safe place, only dangerzone
Things that you don’t understand/ Searching for a helping hand/ With your back against the wall/ Who will be there to prevent your fall

Refr: Compassion for care, Compassion for care
We travel together, we care and share/
Compassion for care, Compassion for care
We travel together, we will be there!!/

Scary dreams when you sleep/ Experiences you’re coping with/ Searching for some shining light/ Who will be there to support your fight
Although you’re scared and sometimes down/ As sparring partner we’ll be around/Trying to guide you through the night/So you can share and feel alright!

Refr: Compassion for care, Compassion for care
We travel together, we care and share
Compassion for care, Compassion for care
We travel together, we will be there!!
